Sun Block

This 4oz. bottle of Desert Shield SPF 15 Sun Block was used by Brigadier General William Joseph Mullen III in 1990 while he assisted with the debarkation and movement of VII Corps in preparation for Desert Storm and was Deputy J3 of Forces Command.

He graduated from West Point in 1959.  On August 26th, 1966, while serving as a captain with the 1st Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment near Binh Duong Province Vietnam, Mullen showed exceptional leadership when his company was ambushed during the rescue of a reconnaissance patrol.  For his heroic actions, he was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.  In 1990 he commanded the 1st Infantry Division.  Mullen has also written several articles and co-authored several books on military history and leadership.  He is presently retired.
