1st Lieutenant Timothy F. O’Brien wore this scarf during 1970, while serving with Troop B, 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment. Troop B was a ready-reaction force for Saigon during the 1970 Tet holiday. A tribute to the cavalry’s history on the American frontier, the embroidered yellow scarf was unique to cavalry troopers, who wore them in rear areas and base camps.
