Major Steven Goligowski was an advisor with the Saudi Army 13 months before Operation Desert Storm. He was on the First Infantry Division’s Support Command staff as the assistant S-3 and primary planner from 1990-1993. Goligowski carried this chemical suit in its original bag as a lucky charm, luckily he was never hit by a chemical attack. While the suit was manufactured in 1978 it was carried in the early 1990s during Operation Desert Storm.
