Charles Stankoven purchased this package of Lucky Strike cigarettes on the RMS Queen Mary troop ship for five cents. He never opened the pack. The HMS Queen Mary was a luxury liner converted to troopship. This vessel carried the whole 1st Infantry Division across the Atlantic in one voyage in August 1942.
