KAR 98A Carbine

This German carbine was among the first enemy weapons captured by Americans in WWI. A shortened version of the G98 rifle, it was recovered by a patrol in ‘no man’s land’ (the area between the trenches) following the first German trench raid against the First Division, November 3rd, 1917.
